Beckham admits lack of fitness
David Beckham has admitted he is still not fit enough to play for England.
The former England captain has travelled to Seoul to play in a pre-season friendly for his club LA Galaxy.
He is widely-expected to earn his 100th England cap when he proves his fitness but he confirmed he needs to play comeptitive matches before the England coach Fabio Capello will pick him.
Beckham said: "I would love to reach 100 caps, but I have to be physically ready to be part of the team. All I've done is training, I have no match fitness."
Capello did not call Beckham up for the friendly against Switzerland earlier this month because he had not played a competitive match for four months.
Beckham added: "I played under Fabio Capello before at Real Madrid. He is a great manager and a good person. He will pick players if he believes they are fit enough, and with me playing no games it was only right that there are other players that played many games."
