Hours after troubled star Britney Spears was pictured in floods of tears, she was spotted out hand-in-hand with a TV magician in LA.

The star looked miserable and tearful after meeting with her lawyers about her impending custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline.

The Toxic star seemed to quickly recover from her traumatic legal meeting when she stepped out with Vegas showman Criss Angel, who she had met earlier at an LA restaurant.

The sight of distraught Spears has fuelled speculation that she may have been warned she could lose rights to her two sons after K-Fed launched a legal bid to get sole custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James.

But the Toxic star seemed to quickly recover from her traumatic legal meeting when she stepped out with Vegas showman Criss Angel, who she had met earlier at an LA restaurant.

The singer reportedly agreed to spend the night with the notorious charmer, who was recently linked to actress Cameron Diaz, but the pair were refused a room at a swanky Beverly Hills hotel.

But hours later, Britney was reportedly spotted entering another LA hotel with magician Criss.
