Angie to make up with dad?

It appears Angelina Jolie may be extending an olive branch to her dad, actor Jon Voight.

The Hollywood actress told a newspaper that she hopes her relationship with Voight will be more private in the future.

The 32-year-old said she wishes the best for him and hopes they'll start communicating.

Jolie has hardly spoken to her dad since 2002, when he made comments suggesting she was unstable.

Voight had two children with model Marcheline Bertrand, one of which was Jolie, while the other was James Haven.

Bertrand died earlier this year aged only 56, after a long struggle with ovarian cancer.
