Pirates of the Caribbean premiere
Johnny Depp has been greeting thousands of adoring fans at the world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End in LA.
The Hollywood star spoke about how important it was to create an interesting character that everybody could watch.
"With captain Jack specifically one of the main deals for me was, where's the character that a five-year-old can enjoy, an 80-year-old and a hardened intellectual can enjoy," he said.
The new instalment sees the star studded cast - including British talent Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom - set sail on an epic adventure that pits them against the terrifying ghost ship the Flying Dutchman.
The film is expected to be a summer box office hit and Orlando Bloom who plays Will Turner, said he's enjoying the popularity of the movies.
"The end of three movies and it's been an incredible ride and it really feels like the audience and the fans have made this movie what it is. So it's cool to be a part of it," he said.
The film opens on May 25.
