Murder probe launched after hospital shooting
A murder inquiry has been launched after one of three men admitted to hospital with gunshot wounds died.
The men, who have not been named, drove to North Manchester General after being targeted by a lone gunman, said police.
One victim, aged 26, died at the hospital while another man, 27, was treated for shotgun wounds to the back.
A third man suffered minor injuries and later discharged himself.
Greater Manchester police said the men were in a car in Huxley Avenue, Crumpsall, when a gunman fired at them before escaping on foot.
The dead man, who is from Crumpsall, has not yet been named.
The 27-year-old has been moved to an unidentified hospital.
A fourth man who was also in the car escaped unharmed.
