Bon Jovi star charged
Bon Jovi's lead guitarist has been charged with drink-driving.
Richie Sambora has been sentenced to three years' probation for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit.
He will also have to attend alcohol awareness classes.
The 48-year old musician was not at the court hearing in Santa Anna, California.
Sambora was pulled over in Laguna Beach on March 25 after allegedly swerving and straddling two lanes.
The district attorney's office says his blood-alcohol level was 0.13 per cent, nearly twice the legal limit.
Sambora has been ordered to appear in court on May 7.
Bon Jovi shot to fame in the 1980s with hits like You Give Love A Bad Name and Livin' On A Prayer.
