Lippi tips Arsenal for Champions League

The coach who guided Italy to victory at the 2006 World Cup believes Arsenal are the favourites to win the Champions League.

Four Premier League clubs are through to the quarter-finals, but Marcello Lippi, who won the European Cup with Juventus in 1996, believes Arsenal stand out.

"The way Arsenal play is the one I like best" - Marcello Lippi

Lippi said: "Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all very strong teams but at the moment it is probably Arsenal who are the ones playing the best football in Europe.

"They manoeuvre the ball very well, it's very fast and very technical.

"United play great football and Sir Alex Ferguson is the type of manager able to renew his team. Every four to five years he brings his side back to an excellent level of top-class football.

"Any of these four English teams could potentially win the Champions League but at the moment the way Arsenal play is the one I like best."
