Families 'devastated' by Antigua murders
The families of newlyweds Ben and Catherine Mullany, who were shot on their Caribbean honeymoon, have said they are "absolutely devastated" by their loss.
Mr Mullany died on Sunday after being critically injured in the attack on the island of Antigua.
His new wife died instantly in what is believed to have been a bungled robbery in their room at the Cocos Hotel on July 27.
In a statement, the couple's families said: "We are absolutely devastated by the events of the past week and the loss of Ben and Catherine.
"We would like to thank our friends and family for their overwhelming support and kindness."
Detectives hunting the killer or killers have released a man being questioned about the murders.
In a statement the police in Antigua said: "Certain evidence was secured but we are unable to release any details at this time as this may jeopardise the case."
The police said the man, who worked on the beach near to where the murders happened at the hotel, had offered an alibi which "checked out".
They also said they are currently following a number of leads and a number of people have been taken into custody and questioned.
A source close to the families said no decision had been taken about the couple's funeral as "it's just too early".
Swansea Coroner Philip Rogers said arrangements to open inquests were under way.
He said he hoped both would be opened later this week.
And South Wales Police said Home Office post-mortem examinations had been arranged.
