"If you get hit, it hurts" - George Clooney

He spent a long time on the red carpet, signing autographs and talking to fans, and one held up a placard that said, "Will you marry me George".

Clooney plays a football hero in the film and revealed he was reluctant to shoot lots of takes in the action scenes because he took a few blows.

He said: "If you get hit, it hurts. I go over to the monitor. As a director, I know I've got to do it again."

In the film, Renee Zellwegger plays a reporter caught in a love triangle with Clooney.
