The Rolling Stones have stepped out for the star-studded New York premiere of their new movie Shine A Light.

The film's director Martin Scorsese and new parents Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were just some of the celebrities who turned up for event at the famed Ziegfeld Theater.

The film follows the band over two days during their A Bigger Bang tour in 2006, but also includes archive footage from their legendary career

Mick Jagger said that it was difficult to draw up a song list for the movie.

He asked: "Which of the songs are going to work for this movie? What songs do you want to do for the duet sequences, and so on. It's hard... and also we have to know them and love them and play them."

Shine A Light will be released in the US on April 4.
