The Spice Girls have revealed they have a better appreciation for each other now they have reformed.

The girls have been riding high on the success of their reunion tour, which kicked off in Vancouver to rave reviews.

"As long as our fans want us to do shows then we'll be there for them" - Emma Bunton

It's been nearly ten years since the group went on a world tour but it seems the comeback quintet are appreciating their second time round more than the height of their fame in the 90s.

Melanie Chisholm, better known as Sporty Spice, has dubbed their 40-date super show as the group's "final bow."

In Los Angeles on Wednesday, however, the band didn't rule out making the reunion more permanent.

"As long as our fans want us to do shows then we'll be there for them", Emma 'Baby' Bunton said, but added that touring and scheduling was more complicated now that four of the five members have children.

Bunton also said age had allowed them to appreciate their success more than they did when they were in their 20s and suddenly overcome by global stardom.

She said: "When we were younger we became a bit complacent about it. Now we've got a chance to do it again, with our children watching."

Geri Halliwell, who left the group in 1998, admitted she regretted walking away from the Spice Girls.

She said: "I just didn't have the tools to work through things. I wish I'd been more mature about it instead of just running away."
