Teen charged over Brixton death

A 17-year-old has been charged with the murder of a teenage youth worker shot in the street a week ago.

Nathan Foster, 18, was found by police with bullet wounds in Brixton, South London, last Friday night and died later in hospital.

He is thought to have been shot by an armed motorcylist while in a group of youths gathered in Marcus Garvey Way.

The teenager charged with his murder will appear at West London Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

A 17-year-old was arrested in Cambridge on Wednesday evening and a youth, aged 14, arrested last Saturday, was released on police bail.

Nathan's death brought the number of teenagers murdered in London to 17 this year.
