Travel firm reveals naked ambition

Nudists will be able to take their naked ambitions to a whole new height.

A German travel agency will soon be offering travellers the opportunity to start their holiday early by stripping off on the plane.

Travel firm OssiUrlaub.de said it will start taking bookings for a trial nudist day trip from the eastern German town of Erfurt to the popular Baltic Sea resort of Usedom.

The trip, planned for July 5, will cost £735, but managing director Enrico Hess insists there is a very good reason why the price hasn't been stripped down in line with the theme.

He said: "It's expensive, I know. It's because the plane's very small. There's no real reason why a flight in which one flies naked should be more expensive than any other."

The 55 passengers will have to remain clothed until they board, and dress before disembarking, said Hess. The crew will remain clothed throughout the flight for safety reasons.

But Hess admits he wasn't the mastermind behind the ideas: "I wish I could say we thought of it ourselves but the idea came from a customer. It's an unusual gap in the market."
