Drogba to hold talks with Milan
Milan claim they have been given permission to offer a contract to Didier Drogba.
The Ivory Coast striker made it clear last year he wanted to leave Chelsea at the end of the season and it appears his wish has been granted.
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said: "Chelsea have authorised us to open negotiations with Drogba."
However, Milan could face competition for Drogba from their rivals Inter.
Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could yet make a move for the striker and Inter can offer Champions League football next season while Milan will be playing in the Uefa Cup.
Milan are also keen to sign Andriy Shevchenko, who they sold to Chelsea two years ago, but that move appears to have been blocked.
Galliani added: "Unfortunately, the response we feared came for Shevchenko. Chelsea consider Andriy unsellable. This epilogue makes us very sad."
