Gloucester, Ospreys and Cardiff progress
Gloucester, Ospreys and Cardiff Blues have all booked their places in the quarter-finals of rugby union's Heineken Cup with victories in their final pool matches.
Gloucester made sure they won Pool Two ahead of Ospreys with a 29-21 home defeat of Ulster, while the Ospreys' 28-21 win away to French side Bourgoin meant they went through as one of the two best runners-up.
Cardiff completed the line-up for the last eight with a solid 17-0 Pool Three win in Bristol to eliminate Stade Francais despite their 31-10 defeat of Harlequins.
However, the Welsh side failed to win by the margin that would have booked a home quarter-final against Toulouse. Instead they must travel to the southwest of France for one of four attractive-looking knockout ties.
Gloucester were made to work hard by Ulster at Kingsholm where they ran in five tries to secure a bonus point.
Akapusi Qera scored twice with Alasdair Strokosch, Iain Balshaw and Luke Narraway also touching down. Tommy Bowe and Andrew Trimble replied with tries for Ulster who were already eliminated.
Gloucester's reward for winning the pool is a home tie against Munster who knocked out defending champions Wasps on Saturday with a 19-3 victory.
Tries for Shane Williams and Lee Byrne helped Ospreys build an 18-6 halftime lead against Bourgoin and Jonathon Thomas added another in the second half after the French side had threatened a revival after a score by Karena Wihongi.
Ospreys travel to Saracens in the last eight.
London Irish, who reached the quarter-finals of Europe's premier club competition for the first time with a win in Treviso on Saturday, will play Perpignan.
