Seven figure cognac
A tequila distilling company in Mexico is hoping to make the world's most expensive bottle of cognac.
It wants to sell the bottle for £1 million.
The container would be made of platinum, gold and six and a half thousand diamonds.
Inside would be a hundred year old cognac.
The chief executive of the company, Fernando Altamaria, attempted to sell a bottle of tequila for 1 million euros in 2006 to buyers in Dubai, but without success.
He said: "They were very interested in the project but not in tequila, because tequila is not known as a luxury spirit in Europe and Arabia. So we proposed the opportunity to make a bottle worth £1million with one of the most ancient cognacs in the world. "
Those who do not have a spare £1 million to spend on cognac need not fret: there are also plans to make two bottles worth £135,000 and another costing £85,000.
