Miley Cyrus avoids dating questions

Clean-cut Miley Cyrus has refused to confirm that she is dating 20-year-old underwear model Justin Gaston.

"Maybe. Maybe not," she told a US radio show: "I just think right now everything is really good. He's been a really great friend more than anything."

Rumours have surrounded the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star and Gaston since they were frequently spotted spending time together earlier this year.

"Everyone started judging us as soon as we started hanging out," she said. "He's a really great Christian guy. We have the kind of relationship where we can talk about [things related to being in the public eye] and he gets it."

It seems any relationship between the pair would get the Cyrus family's stamp of approval.

Cyrus's dad, singer Billy Ray of Achy Breaky Heart fame, who works with Justin, an aspiring country singer, has already called him "a good kid."

"My family's like, whatever happens, happens," Cyrus said.

The Disney star said the two started hanging out last month, she didn't appreciate everyone putting their two cents in about the relationship.

"After my last two years, there's been a lot of things that happened, so I've learned just not to judge anyone and go into our friendship with an open mind and not really worry about the age or anything," she said.

Cyrus said the main problem with dating Gaston is his good looks.

"That's what would be hard about dating him" she said. "It's like, if [we ever broke up], who are you gonna go to after that?"
