Heather Mills has 'found peace'
Heather Mills has said she has found "peace" and is sure Paul McCartney's new flame is "lovely".
The former model said she had spent much of the past months since her £24.3 million divorce settlement from the ex-Beatle "healing".
She also suggested that she prefers being in the US to the UK.
She said: "I'm in a really good place at the moment. I'm really at peace. I've spent a lot of time healing."
The 40-year-old, who is donating £550,000 of vegan food to an impoverished New York neighbourhood, added of the divorce settlement: "A lot of it has already gone to charity, and I kept some to invest in projects and causes that will make this world a better place.
"It's been a very, very difficult time, the hardest ever, but I now want the chance to focus on charity and continue my work with the causes I really care about."
Mills added: "I love England and I always will. But you know, it seems like I can really get a lot done in America on the causes I really care about."
She insisted she is not selling her UK home, and said: "I've just spent a year having it renovated and it is not on the market."
Of Sir Paul's new love interest, American millionaire Nancy Shevell, she added: "I'm sure she's lovely."
Mills, mother to Sir Paul's four-year-old daughter Beatrice, said of her own future: "Whoever comes into either of our lives is going to be very nice, and as long as Beatrice is happy, that's all that matters. She has always been put first."
