
Gordon Brown 'in talks' with Shakira
Gordon Brown will discuss how to boost Third World education with popstar Shakira.
The British Prime Minister is due to hold telephone talks with the Hips Don't Lie singer later.
It is the latest in a string of showbiz encounters for the leader.
Earlier this month, the Prime Minister appeared on hit TV show American Idol in order to stamp out malaria.
He has also been pictured alongside Hollywood star "gorgeous" George Clooney after they talked about the Darfur crisis in Downing Street.
This event is one of a series organised by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), to highlight a pledge by world leaders that every child will have access to quality primary education by 2015.
Some 72 million children are still missing out, according to the coalition of charities and teaching unions.
On Wednesday, hundreds of schools around the UK are set to take part in the World's Biggest Lesson, which will see pupils from 120 countries taught the same subject simultaneously.
