Radcliffe puts the record straight

Daniel Radcliffe's been busy fielding questions over his plans for the future, following reports he's keen to play a gay man.

The Harry Potter star was quizzed by the media following his appearance at the National Movie Awards over the weekend.

Radcliffe said he wouldn't do a gay role just for the sake of it - it would have to be good

The latest film in the hit series, The Order of the Phoenix, picked up three awards.

Fans voted it best family title, Emma Watson - who plays Hermione Granger - won best female, and Daniel Radcliffe took best male - beating out 007 himself, Daniel Craig.

Radcliffe said he wouldn't do a gay role just for the sake of it - it would have to be good.

And the vertically-challenged actor laughed off suggestions he could one day play James Bond.
