Ramsay picks up top star rating
Gordon Ramsay has become one of the world's most Michelin-starred chefs.
The F-Word star picked up two more of the coveted awardds for his New York restaurant, despite it not going down well with the city's food critics.
Ramsay has now been awarded 12 stars for his eateries around the world, putting him in joint place with French chef Alain Ducasse.
The 40-year-old Hell's Kitchen chef said: "It is a great honour to have received two stars from the Michelin Guide in our first year in New York.
"To achieve such recognition means a huge amount and I am very proud of Chef de Cuisine Josh Emett, Maitre d' Jean-Baptiste Requien and our very talented team."
Under the Michelin rating system two stars indicate "excellent cuisine, worth a detour" and the top award of three stars means "exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey".
