Amy Winehouse has left hospital after seeking emergency treatment for an apparent reaction to medication.

The 24-year-old pop star was rushed to University College Hospital on Monday evening, where she remained overnight.

The singer has publicly battled health problems recently, and it's thought her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's imprisonment has caused more stress

Her spokesman Chris Goodman said she returned to her Camden home where she is "resting" with her father Mitch and manager.

He said: "She had a bit of a scare because of a reaction to treatment. She was kept in overnight purely for observation. Amy is at home now after leaving with her father and manager. She is having a rest."

He could not confirm reports that the singer suffered fits before the ambulance was called.

The singer has publicly battled health problems recently, and it's thought her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's imprisonment has caused more stress.

In January, she was allegedly caught smoking crack cocaine on video obtained by a tabloid newspaper, and she spent a stint in rehab before re-emerging for a well-received performance at the Grammy Awards in February.

However, her performances at Glastonbury and the Nelson Mandela 90th birthday concert in June were thrown into doubt when she collapsed at her home and had to undergo hospital tests.

Her latest scare occurred at around 8pm on Monday evening when an ambulance was called to her home.
