New Nintendo DS launched
Updated 11.00 Fri Oct 03 2008
Good news for gaming fans, Nintendo has launched a new console in Japan.
The Nintendo DSi is set to rival the Apple iPod, allowing users to play music, take photos and browse the web.
There are some noticeable differences to its predecessor - it is slimmer and has a bigger display. The Game Boy Advance slot has also been removed to allow for an SD card.
The console will be on the market for around £100 and is expected to be launched outside Japan in 2009.
