Bionic Woman remake smashes ratings
The remake of The Bionic Woman has given ITV2 its largest audience ever, according to figures.
The 60-minute drama, starring ex-EastEnder Michelle Ryan, was watched by a peak of 2.4 million viewers, which trumps the digital channel's previous best of 1.9 million for Footballers' Wives: Extra Time in 2005.
Overall, the show took an average of 2.2 million viewers and a 10.5 per cent share of the 9pm to 10pm audience.
ITV2 Controller Zai Bennett said: "Bionic Woman is a fantastic show and we are very excited that an audience of over two million viewers, our best ever audience, tuned in for last night's show."
But it is expected to be axed in the US after just one season. Ratings dropped after the first episode, which was a hit with 13.9 million viewers, was shown on the NBC network.
The Bionic Woman was originally shown in 1976, starring Lindsay Wagner.
