Wenger set to unleash Henry

Arsene Wenger could unleash captain Thierry Henry on PSV Eindhoven when the Dutch giants visit Ashburton Grove.

The Gunners must overturn a 1-0 deficit if they are to book their place in the last eight of the Champions League.

"He can start, if I decide to start him. There is no risk for his health, but it is just it could get worse again after the game and that you then start from scratch" - Thierry Henry

Wenger is happy to keep people guessing as to whether Henry will play after missing Arsenal's last three matches with foot and hamstring injuries.

The Frenchman said: "He can start, if I decide to start him. There is no risk for his health, but it is just it could get worse again after the game and that you then start from scratch."

Wenger is calling on his men to be "ruthless" as they bid to get the better of Ronald Koeman's men, who are unlikely to come out all guns blazing.

He added: "We have got the feeling from the first game that we have enough quality to beat Eindhoven, so let us focus on doing that. We have to find the solutions by being creative around the box, by the speed of our passing and by being ruthless on the chances we will create."

The Arsenal boss, meanwhile, maintains that all will not be lost should the result go against lasts season's beaten finalists.

He said: "We are a club which has always met every situation we have faced. The club is in a good situation, financially and in the quality of the players.

"This team is going up. If you look at the points we have taken since December 1, it compares with any team in the league. We had a fantastic Carling Cup campaign with a very young side, so it is all very promising. The season will not be over, no matter what happens."
