Richey hits back at murdered girl's aunt
Death Row Scotsman Kenny Richey has hit back at the aunt of the girl killed in a fire he was convicted of starting more than 20 years ago.
The child's aunt, Valerie Binkley, said in an emotional statement to the court that he would "burn in hell".
Mr Richey has hit back by saying: "She'll be burning there first long before I will."
He continued: "I've got nothing to burn in hell for and as far as there being a hell, there is no hell anyway, this is hell. I've had my years in hell, 21 of them. It can't get any worse."
The 43-year-old has always maintained he was innocent and arrived back in the UK on January 9 after spending 21 years on death row in the US.
He was released from jail in Ohio after making a plea deal with prosecutors over the arson attack in which two-year-old Cynthia Collins died.
Mr Richey was sentenced to death in January 1987. In August last year the sentence was overturned at the Cincinnati Court of Appeal.
Mr Richey has also described how he "feels devastated" about the child's death but is bitter about the "living hell" he went through for more than two decades.
He said his focus now is to "try and get back to living".
He said: "I've had 21 years dying. I'd like to get back into photography, I used to love photography...I got my own digital camera for a Christmas present and I've no idea how to work the thing."
