Former Big Brother contestant Jade Goody has been the victim of a burglary at her Essex home.

It is the third time the reality TV star has been burgled. Among the stolen items were five designer watches, rings and a Tiffany necklace and earring set, it has been reported.

Goody told a newspaper: "I went to investigate with Batman (her dog) but no one was there. I dread to think what would have happened if the thieves had still been in the house. I'm just glad my two boys weren't at home."

A source close to Goody added: "Her bedroom was a mess with stuff strewn all over. There were also muddy footprints everywhere."
