Top designers and musicians have gathered in South Africa for an event to raise awareness about Aids.

John Legend is the latest star trying to save the world one showbiz step at a time. The five-time Grammy award winner was among those who took to the stage at the Positive Rocks concert in Rustenburg, South Africa.

"I think it's important that we help spread that cure even to those who can't afford it right now, so I'm happy to be here to be a part of this" - John Legend

Now in its second year, proceeds from the event go to Aids projects in the region.

The R&B star met with patients at the Tapologo hospice and said more people around the world needed to act.

He said: "Aids is everywhere. It's all around the world including the US where I live and it's something that we do have the kind of medicine that can help cure people, but that medicine hasn't reached everyone yet."

But Positive Rocks wasn't just a feast for the ears. Local and international designers had the chance to showcase their work which included messages about fighting Aids.
