Take That to perform at Diana gig
After much speculation, pop kings Take That have been confirmed as part of the star-studded line-up for the Concert For Diana.
All four members of the group were due to be away on family holidays for the July 1 event at Wembley Stadium - which commemorates what would have been Princess Diana's 46th birthday.
It is also widely rumoured that ex-bandmate Robbie Williams could join the group on stage for the first time in 12 years.
Bandmate Mark Owen said: "We were all due to be away with our families on the date of the event when the concert was first announced, but after being asked to perform last week we got together and decided we wanted to do anything we could to help make Diana's concert one of the highlights of the summer.
"Diana was an inspiration to so many people and we feel privileged to have met her."
The line-up for the charity concert has been selected by Princes William and Harry and includes Sir Elton John, Lily Allen, Kanye West and Rod Stewart.
Prince William said: "We wanted to have this big concert, full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted. And on her birthday as well, it's got to be the best birthday present she ever had."
