Kanye 'lonely' and 'struggling'

Kanye West has revealed he is lonely after the death of his mother and has said he struggles in the spotlight.

The rap star is currently on tour in Europe and played in London on Wednesday night.

His mother, Donde West, died last year from complications during surgery.

West said it is hard being on his own: "I just really wish that I had like the type of woman that would have supported me through a situation like that and been very selfless and it's really hard for me. Of course for me it's not hard to find a date, but to find a mate is different.

"Performing on stage sometimes is just hard, every night is just hard, you know, I'm at that point where I long to have a family, especially after losing my mother."

West said he would like to take a break from the stage: "I just really want to make music, I like to perform, I like that, but I really like to design, so I'm going to go and take an internship with something and just do something that's just like completely normal, and just rap on the weekends or something."
