New Abba musical Mamma Mia! begins

The new Abba musical Mamma Mia! has opened to the public.

The movie boast stars such as Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Julie Walters and is described as "a celebration of a mother, a daughter and three possible fathers."

The leading lady, Meryl Streep said she had a hard time playing the love interest of three men.

She said: "Having three gorgeous men having feelings for me was wonderful even though it was fictional."

The movie features 22 Abba hits and is based on the play which has drawn in an estimated 30 million viewers and £1 billion worldwide.

In June 2005, it became the longest running Broadway show ever in Las Vegas and this year became the longest daily running show in the history of Russian theatre.
