Manchester United's hopes of turning the Champions League Final into an all-English affair have been dashed with defeat against AC Milan in the semi-final.

The Italian giants turned around a 3-2 deficit from the first leg at Old Trafford to beat United 3-0 at the San Siro.

Milan will now have the chance to avenge the defeat at the hands of Liverpool two years ago.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men turned in one of their poorest displays of the entire campaign, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney both failing to shine.

United saw their advantage wiped out by Kaka inside 11 minutes.

Clarence Seedorf capped a brilliant personal display by netting the second on the half hour and hope had virtually evaporated for United by the time Alberto Gilardino drilled home a third late on.
