A touch of Sex and the City has come to Marks & Spencer thanks to the show's stylist Patricia Field.

The fashionista has designed a collection exclusively for the high street store, which has been inspired by the hit show.

Field said at the launch: "If you feel old, you dress old, if you feel young, then you dress young. I have inspired women to be individual and unique but that's nothing to do with age."

The collection also includes three styles of shoes - but not the pricey Manolo Blahniks loved by Carrie Bradshaw.

A Marks &Spencer spokeswoman said that the range was "designed to appeal to women of all ages, providing they are fans of the show".

She said: "It's all very glamourous and sexy - these are clothes for meeting your girlfriends in for a long lunch over a bottle of wine."

M&S is the latest retailer to jump on the celebrity bandwagon.

Madonna, Kate Moss and Lily Allen have inspired ranges for H&M, Topshop and New Look respectively.
