Police reveal US kidnappers identity
Fingerprint testing has been used to confirm the real identity of a father accused of kidnapping his daughter in the US.
Clark Rockerfeller who allegedly snatched seven year old Reigh Boss is really Christian Gerhartsreiter.
The FBI uncovered his real identity after matched up his fingerprints with those on a German man's old immigration papers.
It was further confirmed after the FBI conducted interviews with people who knew him in California in the 1980s.
Authorities say Gerhartsreiter was born in the former West Germany in 1961 and has spent 27 years in the US under aliases including Chris Crowe, Chris Chicheste, Charles Smith and Chip Smith.
California police also want to question him over the 1985 disappearance of Jonathan and Linda Sohus after he rented their relatives guest house in Los Angeles.
He is currently in police custody in Boston facing several charges among them is felony custodial kidnapping.
His daughter Reigh Boss has been reunited with her London based mother.
