Wenger issues Arsenal warning
Arsene Wenger is urging his young stars to "keep their feet on the ground" following Arsenal's 3-0 demolition of Sevilla in the Champions League.
The Gunners saw off Juande Ramos' Uefa Cup winners for the last two years thanks to Cesc Fabregas' deflected shot on 27 minutes before Robin van Persie doubled their advantage and substitute Eduardo was on target right at the death.
And with the north Londoners top of the Premier League after four wins and a draw from their opening five matches, Wenger said: "We have to keep our feet on the ground.
"We have improved from two years ago without a doubt - but it is the beginning of the tournament and there are two competitions in the Champions League, the groups and the knockout, and you need the best players available for the second part of it.
"The challenge of the season is to show how far we have come. The tactical strength is growing and when we were under pressure we did not panic. We did not concede and looked more mature tactically than we did a year ago."
Fabregas, who has now taken his tally of goals for the season up to five, is sure there remains plenty to come from Wenger's new-look Gunners.
The Spanish midfielder said: "We have to go step by step - we are doing that at the moment and it's going well. This team is about the future."
