Take That shine at the Brits
Take That have been among the big winners at the Brit Awards in London.
The reformed boyband picked up awards for best live act and best single for Shine, while the Arctic Monkeys won the prizes for best British group and album for the second year in a row.
The Foofighters also won two prizes for best international group and album.
Performers on the night included Rihanna and the Klaxons, Mark Ronson, Mika and The Gossip's Beth Ditto and Leona Lewis.
Sir Paul McCartney, who was presented an award for outstanding contribution to music from Kylie Minogue, ended the show with a medley of his greatest hits, including Hey Jude.
Meanwhile, Winehouse gave her first public performance since being admitted to rehab.
During her rendition of Love is a Losing Game, the troubled singer mouthed "I love you" into the camera - presumably at husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently being held in Pentonville Prison.
Addressing the crowd at the end of her song, the star said: "Make some noise for my husband, my Blake."
Other winners on the night included newcomer Adele, who picked up the critics choice award and singer Mika, who won best british breakthrough act.
Kanye West won the award for best international male, Minogue picked up best international female and Mark Ronson won best british male.
Kate Nash, who attended the Brit school and won the award for best british female, said: "It's really important to have arts in education as not everybody is academic."
Arctic Monkeys were named best british group and also won the best british album award.
They walked onto stage dressed top to toe in tweed, carrying hunting horns and a fake mallard.
During arrivals Cheryl Cole stole the limelight on the Brits' red carpet with fellow band members Girls Aloud.
The singer has refused to go to ground over her recent marital troubles, and arrived wearing a camera-grabbing super-short, off-one-shoulder canary yellow dress.
