Valentino bids farewell to fashion

Fashion designer Valentino has bowed out of the fashion business after 45 years at its helm.
The Italian designer staged his final fashion show in Paris, which was attended by members of Hollywood's A-list including Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu.
He closed his final show by sending all of the models down in red dresses - his signature look

The show was preceded by a glitzy farewell party which he hosted in the summer in Rome.
The designer, whose full name is Valentino Garavani, has dressed some of the world's most glamorous women such as Elizabeth Taylor and Jackie Onassis.
