Cats feline fine ahead of 'Oscars'
Britain's most amazing and inspiring cats are being recognised at London's O2 Arena for their stories of survival, bravery, and heroism.
Dubbed the Feline Oscars, the Rescue Cat Awards honour the moggies whose stories of survival, bravery and heroism have inspired the humans who love and care for them
Lucky, Noah, Mia and Tabitha have all made it to the final.
Lucky earned his name after being trapped under a car bonnet for an astonishing 280-mile journey from France to the UK.
Owner Audrey Plumpton and her husband, from Amersham, Buckinghamshire, had been holidaying in Brittany but hadn't realised that one of the feral cats which had been running near their cottage had decided to stow away.
Fortunately, once home they heard his cries and came to his rescue.
Meanwhile, one-year-old Noah, from Methley, Leeds, nearly drowned when the village was hit during the 2007 summer floods.
The kitten was given a home by Julia Malloch and her daughter who saw Noah and two other stray kittens being saved from a floating branch by some youngsters on a makeshift raft.
Mia, two, travelled all the way from Hungary having taken refuge on a lorry to give birth to her two kittens. She was found at a Suzuki site in Milton Keynes by a security guard. Another employee, Francesca Robinson, adopted mum and her kittens after they were quarantined.
And Tabitha made the shortlist after surviving for 44 days in the hardboard surround of a bathroom cupboard. She disappeared just days after owner Jessie Sculpher adopted her. The badly-dehydrated moggy was found when Jessie was woken by noises and managed to spot her in the cupboard.
