Nadal reaches first Australian semi-final

Rafael Nadal clinched a place in the semi-finals of the Australian Open with a straight sets win over Jarkko Nieminen.
Nadal saved two set points in the tenth game of the first set but went on to enjoy a 7-5 6-3 6-1 victory.
It is the first time Nadal has reached the semi-finals in Melbourne
The Spaniard held his serve while trailing 5-4 and immediately claimed the decisive break, then claimed two breaks in the second set to lead 4-1.
In the third set, Nadal broke in the second game and cruised to victory.
It is the first time Nadal has reached the semi-finals in Melbourne.
He reached the quarter-finals last year but suffered a surprise defeat to Robert Kendrick.
