Bruni's album hits the shelves

The glamorous wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy has released her album.
Carla Bruni wrote or co-wrote 12 of the 14 songs, and will donate her share of the royalties to unspecified charitable and humanitarian causes.
Critics are calling the album independent and intelligent and one of the songs is rumoured to be dedicated to her husband

The album comes on the heels of a memoir which was published earlier this year, in which Bruni details her relationship with Mr Sarkozy.
The couple wed in February following a whirlwind romance.
