Henry to remain a Gunner 'for life'
Injured Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has insisted that he will remain with the north Londoners "for life".
The 29-year-old hitman was ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering injuries to his groin and stomach muscles as the Gunners bowed out of the Champions League at the hands of PSV Eindhoven last Wednesday.
There have been some suggestions that Henry could have played his last game for the Gunners, but he has moved to dismiss such reports.
Arsenal's all-time record goal scorer has been quoted as saying: "People in France and some over here (England) are still saying I am going to leave. I am not going to leave. Never. I am staying here for life.
"I have no intention of walking out on this club, whatever the situation is. At no stage this season have I ever thought about leaving. I love the club, I love the fans and I am 100 per cent behind the boss."
Henry has also revealed that he believes his injury problems - and of the dip in form experienced by other top players in the aftermath last summer's World Cup - is down to playing too much football.
He added: "This injury isn't down to my age. It's the number of games played that causes injury. Look at (Franck) Ribery, (Claude) Makelele, (William) Gallas, (Patrick) Viera, they are all injured.
"Even Ronaldinho is dead. Same for Deco. Or (Steven) Gerrard. This is not the great and the real Gerrard (this season). The players doing well now are those who played less last season."
