Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced she is expecting her second child with her husband, The Feeling bassist, Richard Jones.

The 29-year-old pop star is five months pregnant with a sibling for their four-year-old son Sonny.

The Murder on the Dancefloor singer confirmed the happy news on her website.

She said: "I am due the beginning of April and naturally the Ellis-Bextor-Joneses are thrilled that Sonny with have a little brother or sister.

"I'll then be back with another single and the fourth album is coming along nicely."

The album is due to be released in August.
