Ukrainian girls drew a crowd by stripping off in protest against a hot water shut-off.

Every year supplies are cut off for a month during the summer to carry out maintenance work on the pipes.

The women bathed in a fountain in Kiev, hoping to get their point across.

One demonstrator said: "We hope that our protest will attract the attention of the authorities and something will be changed.

"We do hope there wil be change."

The girls are unhappy with the timing of the switch-off because it coincides with exams.
