Georgian reporter shot live on TV

This is the moment a Georgian news correspondent is shot by a sniper live on television as she reported on the South Ossetia crisis.

Amazingly, and after a brief moment of chaos as people rushed to her aid, she carried on with her report from the safety of a truck.

The bullet hit Tamara Urushadze in the left arm as she was delivering her report from the town of Gori, which is occupied by Russian forces although it is outside the disputed region of South Ossetia.

After she is hit, the 32-year-old ducks to the left as more bullets rush past. Shouting can be heard off camera as her colleagues try to take in what has happened.

A studio presenter's voice is heard saying: "You can see that something has happened during live coverage. Unfortunately we don't know what."

Moments later she can be seen being helped into a truck and being fitted with body armour.

She then continues her report, explaining what had happened and showing off a painful-looking wound to the camera.
