Knut the orphaned polar bear is set to become a star of the big screen.

He already has his own blog and a TV show but now a documentary has been made about the first year of his life at Berlin Zoo.

"You cannot get away from Knut" - Matthew Martinez

The film shows Knut being bottle-fed for the first time and eating through a bucket of fish.

Knut's keeper Thomas Doerflein said: "He is a normal polar bear and just like any other polar bear except that right now he is totally focused on humans. But that can change quickly if he meets a partner, a female polar bear."

Fans queued for hours to see the film's premiere in Germany and it could soon be shown in other countries.

Actor, Matthew Martinez, who plays an advertising executive in the film, said: "I live in Berlin and you can't get away from Knut. He's so cute. You gotta love him!"
