Gossip Girl star talks fame
Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has admitted that he never thought the show would be such a huge hit.
The star, who plays Nate Archibald in the US teen drama, said he knew the series could have been a success but he didn't expect it to explode.
He said: "We had an idea of the potential of the show but we never imagined it to take off like it did."
The actor also admitted that he has been getting a lot of female attention ever since he took up the of Nate.
He added: "In terms of being famous, it did go from 0-60 in pretty much no time at all but you learn to deal with it. You just take it day by day.
"I remember filming on the Upper East Side of New York and there were a couple of hundred girls there. It was Friday just as high school was finishing so we were kind of asking for it. We were just like, 'OK what have we got ourselves into."
