Jay-Z will return to Glastonbury

Rapper Jay-Z is plotting his return to Glastonbury.

He ruled out playing at the Somerset event, saying: 'Not next year though...this year was too big'.

It sparked debate, and even a few doubters - Noel Gallagher claimed the hip-hop star was wrong for the Glastonbury.

But opening on the Pyramid stage in front of around 80,000 music lovers, Jay responded to the criticism by playing the Oasis track Wonderwall.

As a result there has been a surge in sales of Wonderwall which was first released in 1995.
